When Megan first told me what was going on, my intial reaction was to pray for a miracle. I prayed that God would take it all away and that when Megan would visit the doctor again they would be completely shocked. After I began praying this Satan attacked me. Shocking I know. Satan filled me with lies of doubt that I began to believe. I believed in my heart that Megan could be healed of everything because I knew that my God was big enough. I like to think that I was just being a realist and protecting myself from being hurt, but really all I was doing was saying that I doubted my God's ability to perform miracles.
Thursday morning I had breakfast with my mentor who has continually been in prayer for Megan. After a bit, she told me to put my wrist out. I put my wrist out and she explained to me that she wanted to give me this bracelet that she was given as a birthday gift because she felt that I needed it more than she did. I looked down to read that it said "Expect Miracles". She then turned it over and the other side read "Have Faith"! It was such a blessing to me to receive such a sweet gift from Anne, but also it was a great reminder that my God is bigger and is capable of performing miracles. I love that about Him!!
Here's a photo of the bracelet that she gave me...
